At first, coming here, I thought that the enemy had gotten a hold of me but it doesn't make sense that I'd be the only one who remembered.

Well, then all I'll tell you is that a Master and his Servant form a contract. A Servant's body is sustained by magic that they get from their Master. That was the nature of my relationship with Noctis, and at one point, this other guy.
